There are a large number of associations whose mission is to defend Tenerife's heritage. ATAN belongs to a federation of such associations, whose main purpose is to conserve the Island's buildings and sites of historical interest. This section therefore focuses on the conservation of Tenerife's archeological, ethnographic, and paleontological sites.

This section will gradually be expanded, gaining in form and content to provide a knowledge base on which conservation campaigns can be based.
